Make an enquiryVintage Repairs can be anything from a missing eye/s replaced, a broken seam, a missing or broken foot pad/s, damaged paws, replacement joints, arms off or a broken head… you name it we’ve probably seen it! Floppy heads are often due to stuffing compacting, so a ‘top-up’ can be done to stabilise.

Cleaning / Refilling
Make an enquiryWe deep clean many modern and vintage toys daily - these can often be booked quite quickly in between our more complex work. Years of cuddling and hugs take their toll and teddy can harbour quite a lot of dust and bacteria…
A good clean can help any teddy/toy to last a lot more years, become brighter and cuddly again reducing further damage to their fabric.

They are completed lovingly by hand using traditional materials and methods both in keeping with their age.
Welcome to Davey Bears
Hello! I'm Ange and I run Davey Bears Teddy Bear Hospital in Cornwall, repairing and restoring Antique and Vintage Teddy Bears from all over the UK. We have our Spa where we offer deep cleaning + re-stuffing of modern toys, and in the main hospital we have our busy workshop completing repairs, full restorations and careful conservation work required by the older Teddies out there.
We also have some gorgeous Teddies & Toys in our Shop - vintage & modern - if you would like to add another friend to your hug!
Before any restoration work starts, they have a full assessment which includes learning about their history from you, so they keep their all important character intact. Also, where applicable, finding out their maker so they are given the most sympathetic and accurate restoration possible.
I have a dedicated office/workshop for bear repairs and restoration in Cornwall so you can come and visit me in person, or you can send your Teddy Bear by post - Davey Bears receives a lot of work via Royal Mail 'Hospital' Post.
